Ferrum College is seeking a Maintenance Manager who will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, keys/locks and other building systems. This person must have extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC and be able to perform repairs when needed. This position reports to the Director of Physical Plant and will work with the director to prioritize and coordinate upgrades/projects, including preventative maintenance schedules, and manage costs. A successful candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent required and a minimum of five years of maintenance experience. Previous supervisory experience and professional certifications preferred.
This is a full time, 40-hour week position. Background check required.
